ABOUT US
Boom! Community Arts (SCIO) was awarded charitable status in 2017. We provide community arts opportunities in the north of Glasgow, particularly the Possil area, and believe in the ability of art to transform lives. We are funded by the Glasgow Communities Fund (GCF) to deliver a programme of adult and youth workshops until Spring 2023.
This funding allowed us to hire a freelance Project Coordinator to support our organisation to grow. Boom! are excited to now be able to expand our small administration team to two, consisting of a General Manager and a Marketing & Administration Coordinator, working in collaboration to deliver Boom!’s projects as well as develop the organisation.
Since our inception we have run regular adult and youth workshops, working in partnership with other organisations in the area. We also provide workshops at community events (such as community meals) and have had groups participate in large events such as Glasgow Christmas Carnival and the Possilpark Christmas Lights switch on event. We know that these experiences have been highly valued by our participants.
Building on our existing work, we would like to grow our presence in the area, strengthen key relationships and work toward serving more people. This is where you’ll come in! You’ll be a great communicator, solution-focussed, and good with detail. You’ll be highly organised and have a commitment to working with communities.
