Our workshops are back, and this time they’re in person!
Hello Everybody,
Our workshops are back and we can now see you in person! We’ll be taking covid into account and all workshops will be socially distanced and the room sanitised before and after our workshops, plus we’ll have plenty of anti bac wipes and sanitiser for everyone to use as needed. Masks will also need worn during the workshops.
The workshops will be running at the St Matthews Centre (200 Balmore Rd, Glasgow G22 6LJ)
Still Scribbling
Artist Barry Neeson returns for another ten week block of relaxed arts & crafts on a Monday morning – 10am-12 noon, from Monday 16th August 2021 and Monday 11th October 2021, for 10 workshops. All materials will be provided, and we’ll be covering a variety of new skills, no previous knowledge needed, just come along and join in.
More Scribbling
Artist Pearl Kinnear will lead this ten week block of workshops – Saturday 21st August 2021 to Saturday 16th October 2021 at 10am till 12pm, for 10 workshops. Please note that the day and time has changed from previous More Scribblings
For this series of workshops Pearl will teach the class the basics of painting in watercolour paint, building and developing techniques over the 10 weeks.
Over the 10 weeks we hope that everyone will show an improvement from the first week to the last in our block. As artists we are always learning, but this is a foundation to help participants see progress in quite a short time.
The drawing sessions will consist of different tasks each week that will focus on the varied aspects of drawing and all play a part in representational drawing. Drawing is the foundation of all types of art that you go on to make, hone your drawing skills and the rest will follow.

Nothing – the workshop is free, and we’ll provide materials.
Do I need materials?
We’ll provide you with a pack of materials once we have confirmed your place.
I don’t really know how to draw / I can’t draw
That’s fine! This is an introductory class
Who can join?
Anyone in the Glasgow area can sign up but due to funding restrictions we prioritise those living in the following areas: Possilpark, Ruchill, Maryhill and Lambhill.
